Do you sing, play an instrument, write songs, or just love music? Do you dream of directing a band or choir, or being a music teacher? Then come to ACC to pursue y我们的 激情.
The ACC music department faculty are professionally active musicians and educators who care for student musicians as individuals. Our small class size provides personalized instruction and enables students to strive for excellence as they prepare to transfer to a f我们的-year university.
The Department of 音乐 also welcomes students of any major who want to take private lessons, participate in the choirs and bands, or to take music c我们的ses to supplement the Core curriculum.
Community members are also a vital part of the music department’s and the college’s mission and are enc我们的aged to participate in ensembles or to take private lessons.
Career Opportunities
Many opportunities are available for musicians such as:
- 音乐 Performance – classical, pop, musical theater, jazz, church music
- 音乐 Education – choir director, band director, elementary music teacher, private lessons teacher
- 音乐 Composition – singer songwriter, writing for ensembles, radio/television/film 作曲

What Will I Study?
The 音乐 Program offers fully transferable c我们的ses for music majors and non-majors 包括:

Yearly costs for the 音乐 A.A. 学位 program including tuition and 费用 are approximately $4,200 for in-district students, $6,960 for students out-of-district, and $9,840 for non-residents. Additional 费用 for books and supplies may vary. 音乐 scholarships are available and can waive out-of-district 费用.

奖学金 are available for music majors and non-majors by audition. Typical awards for music majors are $1000 per year which waives out-of-district 费用. Non-music majors can receive up to $100 for performing in an ensemble.
